IE6 slow to close

Any information would be appreciated on this subject ......

From the moment I quit IE6, it takes 27 seconds to actually close !
It takes 27 secs whether it's been open for 1 second or hours.
and it's always exacly 27 seconds !

It loads up instantly and speedy when in use

Windows task manager shows minimal usage of CPU and MEM
I have checked for virus and spyware, nothing shows up.

I haven't installed anything recently ( I don't think )

System:
AMD Athlon2000+
512 mb ram
GeForce T14200
Cable Modem
Windows XP Pro + all updates

Check for virus's and try and remove any addon's to
see if it makes any differences.
