Hi I have the following gear:

As a footnote, I have installed the latest drivers for the card from
the nvidia site, but still the same thing. When I right click on the
desktop and select settings, I see only one monitor to choose from....
Can anyone help ?
Thankx

Are you sure the card supports two monitors at once?

Windows does not recognise the second monitor on the same graphics
card at the moment. Only one monitor is shown in the Setup/Display
window....I am not sure where to go from here..

Your card should have documentation on dual monitors.
You say your card is GeForce2 5600.
I couldn't find that card.
I did find GeForce FX 5600.
