ADDENDUM:
When I click on the different folders/files, and go to
properties, nothing comes up. Most appear to be empty
shells with 0Kbs
When I go to "delete files", I get a message:
"Confirm Delete
Are you sure you want to delete the temporary files that
are ready , but have not been written to the CD?
YES NO "

When I press Yes, I get an error window stating:
" ERROR DELETING FILE OR FOLDER
Cannot delete 320174~1.zip:
Cannot find the specified file.
Make sure you specify the current path and file name. "

Each error message give a different file number.

I am REALLY stumped .... and I'm tired of the pop-ups
telling me I have folders ready to be written to the CD

I've even tried creating a "TRASH" folder and trying to
move them there, but no luck.

Can ANYONE help me out on this???
Thanks,
Amber and no, I;m not a Blonde ... :)

Hello Dan ... thanks for responding
I tried what you suggested and the folders are still
there and I keep getting pop up windows in the sys tray
that I have folders ready to write to CD.
Maybe I can get some "liquid paper" and paint them off of
the screen :)
Anybody have any suggestions ??
Thanks
Amber

Hi Amber,

I don't know the answer, but I have questions.

> Cannot delete 320174~1.zip:

Does this look like the name of any of the files
you tried to send to the CD previously? (E.g.,
did one of your filenames start with a number and
end in ".zip"?)

Also, can you tell me if a file with a name like that
exists in the directory where XP temporarily stores
files that are waiting to be burned onto the CD?

This directory most likely has the following name:

c:\documents and settings\XXX\local settings\application data\microsoft\cd
burning

where "XXX" is the name of the account you were logged
in as when you told XP you wanted to copy these files
to the CD.

Also, I can't reproduce your exact problem, so I'm
wondering if anything "unusual" happened that led up
to this problem? Maybe a request to burn the CD failed,
or whatever... anything odd come to mind?

Thanks!
