printer won't print

tried to print an email. printer is on, paper comes out
blank.

Does everything else print okay? Is the email in HTML? Maybe the text is white.

Could be a number of things,

Does it sound like it is typing?
Printer cartridge, or tape worn out?
Maybe you need to re-install the printer driver.
Hard to tell without being there.
