Printer won't print

I can't get my printer to print anything but pictures and I was wondering if there was anyone that could help me with this problem? It was printing fine and all of a sudden it just stop. When I first connected the printer and ran the program,it worked fine
. Now it's showing that the printer is not added and it won't let me add it. Could someone please help me?

Start the print spooler...

From the command prompt, type

net start spooler

(and hit enter)
