Hi,
to start , her's my setup:
Winxp Pro sp1 , all updates
Wireless network behind a L-11 Lancom router, 3 computers , all winxp pro sp1.
Firewall disabled in windows wireless setup, enabled on the L-11
Provider: pandora.be, so I use a proxy, configured on port 80 , as needed.
Windows 4.7 messenger installed, mns messenger 6.1 too.
computer type is of no issue, as all 3 computers have the same problem: disconnection after a few minutes (not visible, the mns messenger window stays open , as if online) ,it becomes visible there is a problem when tring to change status or engaging a cha
t (comes to the signing -in window , and signs in again.)
Problems started 2 weeks ago, on all 3 computers at the same time.Tried reinstalling msn , to no avail.Have actually a brand new install on this new computer, winxp is brand fresh , same problem. All worked perfectly before(on all 3 computers), nothing chan
ged in the L-11Lancom router setup.
So , it's either a problem with messenger , or connection set-ups must be changed due to changes with my provider , or with messenger.Anyway , I would like to have a solution to this, as helpfiles regarding advanced networking are not very clear nor comple
te.A dedicated website with extended setup features for this problem would be very welcome.
Please help,
Kind regards,
Alex
