I purchased the Norton SystemWorks 2003, and since then
when I do a diagnostic test, the file mscoree.dll always
comes up as "missing." Does anyone else have this problem
or know how to fix it?
The actual message I get is:
c:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\InstallShield\Professi onal\RunT
ime\0700\Intel32\DotNetInstaller.exe cannot access a
necessary file "mscoree.dll".
If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please e-mail me.
Thanks
:-)

You can download mscoree.dll from here:

The file is installed by the .NET framework update. It should be present in
the Windows\system32 and Windows\system32\URTTemp folders.
You can uninstall the .NET framework from Control Panel> Add/Remove
Programs. Then if you'd like, you can download and install it again from the
Windows Update site.
NOTE: If you are not using applications written for the .NET framework or if
you are not a .NET developer then the absence of mscoree.dll will cause no
problems.
