XP Home user - How do I back up to external hard drive, please

Can I back up to an external hard drive ?
If so, how can I get detailed instructions on how ?

Assuming you have the correct cables (USB for instance) to hook your computer up to the external drive you can use NT Backup. It has a step by step wizard that will give you choices of what you want to backup then choices as to where you want to backup. In
the later case simply click the browse button and then click the "My Computer" on the left and your external HDD should be displayed here. If you have XP Home Edition then you will need to search your disk for the valueadd\msft\ntbackup and double click t
he two little computers icon in ntbackup to install "Backup" to your start\all programs\accessories\system tools . Good luck.
