I need to do a repair install because I can't boot up WinXP. However when I
try to do a repair, I am asked for an administrator password. I never
remember setting an administrator password. Is there a workaround?

Yes, the Administrator password is *probably* blank.

Try just hitting Return - don't go into word box at
all.

You are trying to load Recovery Console if you get the prompt for the Admin
password. See the link below for steps to do a repair install.
