This is a simple question.(I hope!)
I have Adobe Acrobat 5.0 & Adobe Reader 6.0 on my
computer. Are they the same thing?
When I tried to remove the 5.0, thinking it is the older
program, my printer wouldn't work. So I'm figuring they
are different programs? I don't remember having both when
I bought my computer. I just had Adobe. That file is now
gone.
I'm cleaning up so I was hoping I could delete one of
these programs, if one of them isn't needed. Are they the
same thing just different versions?
Told you this was a simple question.
Thanks, lorie

Uninstall Acrobat Reader 6.0 | uninstall AR 5 | reinstall AR 6. If you =
uninstall 5 after installing 6 file associations go bye bye, as you =
found out.

While i agree that it is wise to uninstall the latest version first, i.e.,
6.0 then uninstall version 5.0 and reinstall version 6.0, there is one point
of puzzlement. You state "I have Adobe Acrobat 5.0 & Adobe Reader 6.0" Now
is this Adobe Acrobat 5.0 or Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0? Adobe Acrobat allows
you to create pdf files whereas acrobat reader only allows you to read pdf
files. Adobe Acrobat is a far more complex application than the 'Reader' is.

John,
You're making Lorie's "simple question" not-so-simple anymore. :>

Versions before 6.0 were called Acrobat Reader, 6.0 is Adobe Reader. =
Could be confusing. :-)
