View Full Version : Win32 Errors

I can't install new programs (even the latest version of
Outlook Express and Internet Explorer) because every time I
try to install them it tells me the program is not a valid
Win32 app. Any ideas? I looked in Knowledge Base, but it
doesn't tell how to fix it or I can't install the download.

I usually get that message when I try to install a 64 bit app on a 32 bit
machine, which I assume is what you have. Where are you trying to install
these programs from?

I have them saved to My documents or the C drive. I'm
trying to reinstall things like Internet Explorer, Adobe
Reader, and some worm and virus fixes. I haven't been able
to open any of these programs or things that use them for
over 2 months. I can't get to my Windows Update automatice
computer scan or any support sites (other than this). I
use Windows XP; shouldn't that handle the Microsoft
downloads correctly? Our Hp pavilion computer is only a
year old and has plenty of memory and cache.
