Hi,
Start/search/files, look for *.cpl in the \windows\system32 folder.
Double-click each result, do any of them have a problem opening?

I think I followed your instructions. Had 23 files and two of them would not
open, namely: "nwc" and "Quick Time" Pray tell! What's next??.

Hi,
First, uninstall QuickTime and see if that resolves it. Just start/run
appwiz.cpl and remove QuickTime for Windows. It is normal for nwc.cpl
(client for netware services) to not run in this fashion.

Rick, I uninstalled Quick Time but it did not solve the problem. I should
have mentioned that the "Control Panel Not Responding" message appears when
I try to access one of the options offered after having selected one of the
main catagories. Your help is appreciated. John
