I tried gathering information by using System
Information but all I got back was "Cannot access Windows
Management Instrumation Software. Windows Management files
may be moved or missing."
How do I recover these files?
Please Help

Go to Start/Run and type: services.msc and press OK.
It sounds like some services may be disabled. There are 5 services
associated with WMI.
Windows Management Instrumentation
Windows Management Instrumentation Driver Extensions
WMI Performance Adapter
Event Log
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
You may not have all 5, start the services in this list that you do have and
set them to automatic.
