Can anyone tell me the best way to install updates. I
download them to a folder using technet or download
center; I do not use windows update site if I can help
it, and then only using the catalog. My question is:
should I install, in order of sequence, using the bulletin
no. (such as: MS03-010) or the release or revised date of
the update? Also, from what I've been able to devine, all
updates since Service Pack 1 can be installed back to back
without rebooting between each one. Is this accurate?
thanks.

I install them in order of release. I would reboot when prompted for all
updates as some may update the same files as others and you don't want to
risk getting the wrong version installed when both file moves are pending.
