how do I change the default folders view in windows explorer. I want to change the default for all files everywhere, not just one at a time. Can this be done?

Jer,
Step 1: Customize the view of a folder. Option Tools/Folder =
Options/View/Apply to all folders.=20
If the settings does not apply:
Increase Folder View Options Limit: (Line 2):

Apply the registry edit and reboot. Repeat 'Step 1' again
Your view settings or customizations for a folder are lost or incorrect: =
