in Word from Office XP some fonts are not available for printing even though they are installed. When I try to use them, it defaults to Times New Roman. The same fonts in Wordpad do print. If I do a document in Wordpad and save it as .rtf, I can open an
d print it in Word, but any additions or changes are in Times New Roman. In my old Word 97 there was no such problem. My current fonts folder is a copy from Word 97 under 98SE. Other fonts from the same author and source are OK. Any ideas? Thanks,
esmo

Please let us know which fonts are "missing".
Also, please check to see what printer is selected as the default printer in
Control Panel Printers and Faxes. Let us know.
Thanks.

Check that there is a default printer designated in Word.
