"Client Mac addr" and then it eventually says "Operating System not found."
HP told me to try to do a "Repair" from some Windows XP Recovery CD, but
every CD I have tried does not have this option. Am I using the right CD's?
I am more than willing to buy one. Any ideas? Obviously, I'm not entirely
technically savvy.

Nice to see that HP doesn't know simple answers to their hardware issues.

Where the computer boots from first is not a function of the operating
system, as the operating system hasn't even been looked at yet. The boot
order is set in the bios.

It is attempting to boot from a network as no other bootable device has been
found, regardless of its bios boot order..
