I can see it now! With all the changes I'm seeing in XP SP2, this NG
is going need to get into overdrive! Questions, upon guestions, upon

Actually we are not finding many issues at all with SP2.
Especially if you already have SP1a and are up to date with all the latest
critical updates.
Some changes in security functionality - but nothing that has caused any
major issues.
Details of the changes in functionality are available at
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/winxpsp2.mspx

I am already running it every day on a number of PCs, laptops and TabletPCs
and so far with the exception of a problem fixed in a later build have had
zero issues.

I can already imagine the major NG headers we'll see this summer, some
probably written by me as well:

** Help! I just installed SP2 and my PC doesn't work anymore!

** I can't finish downloading SP2. Download pauses at the midway point.
What do I do???

** Can't access Windows Update! Where else can I download SP2?

** Windows Firewall won't let me connect to the Internet!!! Help!!

** New XP security center messed up my antivirus software! Please advise.

** Just downloaded SP2, but my computer still shows SP1. Why??

** How big a file is SP2?

This newsgroup is not appropriate for any Windows Update issues.
This newsgroup is intended for issues related to the "Help and
Support" feature of Windows XP.

For issues relating to Windows Update, such as Service Pack 2, see the
Windows Update newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsupdate

So really the job in this newsgroup should be easy, refer to the
correct newsgroup.
