Delayed Write Failed error message

When I am running a backup to a zip drive on a local machine, I am sometimes
getting the following message:

{Delayed Write Failed} Windows was unable to save all the data for the file.
The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your
computer hardware or network conection. Please try to save this file
elsewhere.

Any ideas what this means or what to do?

This problem can be caused by a number of things including controller
settings, BIOS settings, cable problems etc. You should contact the drive
vendor's knowledge database...it seems likely that you will get better help
specific to your hardware there.
