No Plug & Play on Optura 20 and Syba 1394 Card??

Hi, all,

I purchased a Canon Optura 20 camcorder and a Syba SD-CBALINEC-4E6I
combo 1394/USB card to connect to XP. However, the camera does not
appear when I plug it in to the card while XP is running.

If I plug the camera in and restart the PC, then the camera appears.

Any ideas why this happens?
