have you tried outgoing as mail.netzero.net

If that wasn't a typo and you have outgoing setup as smpt.netzero.net ...
try changing it to smtp.netzero.net

Also, Netzero should have a page in their online help area that gives the
exact entries you need to make in your email program. Their tech support,
if reachable by phone, should know that info too.
