Need help and suggestions please:
Laptop, 1.6 Ghz, WinXP home
3 USB ports
PalmVx connection on COM5 (I believe)
When I hot sync'd my PalmVx via a USB cable, Palm did not
connect to laptop, said something like "Connection is
being used by another device"
After I re-started Hot Sync manager a couple of times,
then re-started the computer, WinXP popped up a screen
saying COM5 is not available, and will notify me when it
become available again.
I received this message before about another COM port the
first time I tried to install the USB cable for Palm. But
I NEVER received any messages telling me the COM was
available again.
So, question is, how do I get my COM5 back?
What else can I try? Should I reinstall the USB cable?
