I switched to windows from Mac and have found that there
is NO way to create disk images from CDs, floppies, or
folders in Windows. Am I wrong? How do I do this? MacOS
had a built in feature for this but I can't find anything
to do it in this OS. I've downloaded an tried a few
programs but they either have very strict limitations in
demo mode or just didn't work.

Windows XP doest have that feature. I suggest you buy either Norton Ghost or
Powerquests Drive Image. They are both user friendly and versatile imaging
tools.
