My son uses MSN Messenger - I do not. It upsets me that
when I'm on Outlook Express his little friends think its
him and I keep getting windows popping up with rude
words ! The names some of these teenagers decide to call
themselves are obnoxious. How do I stop them popping up
please. There must be a way and it's probably very simple
so I'd be grateful if some kind soul could help an oldie
like me.

Greetings Phil,

Assuming Messenger isn't signed in or started when you're using the computer, simply make
sure Outlook Express is closed, then download and run this .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/stopmessenger_oe.reg
This will stop Messenger from starting with Outlook Express and therefore Messenger won't be
logged in.
