You're not giving us much to go on with your description of the problem.
When does this shutdown occur, and do you receive any error messages?

If, perhaps, you're referring to the NT Authority message regarding Remote
Procedure Call Service terminated unexpectedly, then that's usually due to
the MSBlaster worm or Welchia worm.

You need to d/load and install Security patch KB824146, available here:

OK well you really need to be more specific to start off with, but I think I've gathered what you mean. If it's when you connect to the internet and you have either Microsoft XP or 2000 if it comes up with a message saying it's going to shut down your com
puter in 60seconds and it is initiated by the NT authority system.... you have the worm blaster virus, and you can find the patch to download right on this web site.
