How can I make an emergency boot disk for XP?

Greetings --

You dont. The Windows XP CD-ROM is bootable with all the tools you need for
repair.

You can create an emergency disk that enables you to boot directly to your
desktop via a floppy disk. I use mine quite regularly when i have boot up
problems. The instructions are a little cumbersome however you can access
them from my web site www.freelanceit.glowinternet.com
Click on the Win xp faq button and the look for How do I create an Emergency
Startup disk for XP

Very nice page, John. Your method looks like it's the same procedure as the
one described in that last reference in my response. You're right - it is
cumbersome but certainly a godsend if there is no working cdrom drive
available.
