I have a USB flash device that's write protected. How do I remove the write
protection?

Probably depends on what *IS* the USB flash device, like its brand and
model (hint, hint). :o

Open your eyes and look for the switch to unlock, this wil remove the write
protection.

He has to remove the label. Then with a very fine screw driver, he can pry
apart the two case halves. He will find the switch inside, on the circuit
board.

What other answer was appropriate? He bought the damn thing. He should read
the small manual that came with it.
