when i insert a new disk into A drive
what it read are the old files from the previous disk
what should i do?

As you no doubt can surmise, reading what was on the prvious disk when a new
disk is installed is impossible. After reading the first disk, delete all
the data, insert the new disk and read it. That will prove it.

In the right-hand pane, right click the mouse and select "Refresh."

This was my first problem with a PC many years ago. It was running DOS 3.3
and a loose cable was the problem. Just had to unplug and reseat both cable
ends.
