Just over a week ago, I started having problems with IE6. Basically, all is
fine for a while, then I'll click on a link or scroll down the screen, and
IE just hangs. I can't do anything in IE, and once I click off the IE
window, I can't restore or switch to any of my other windows. The only thing
I can do is get task manager up and kill the process tree. Also, I've
noticed that when this happens, task manager says that IE is using almost
the whole CPU.
This is probably related as it started happening around the same time - I
had a web page permanently on the desktop, and it was set to suynchronise
every time I logged in. This was fine, then suddenly this began hanging
everytime I logged in. I would have to kill this from task manager too. It
too was using just about all of the processor.
Does anyone have any ideas?
