Hi.

Though I enjoy perusing this information-laden site, I seldom, if ever,
write a request. But, I thought I'd post this requst, to see if someone can
help.

About a year ago, I edited the registry of windows on my old hard drive,
which allowed Win XP to recognize multiple downloads from the internet
without affecting the speeds of those downloads. I did it back then to see
if it would help, and it did. Now, I'd like to "tweak" it again.

Recently, I purchased a new 250 gig H.D., and clean-installed Win XP. All
my settings are where I want them, but do you think I can remember how to
perform the work in the registry that I did a year ago? Of course I didn't
write it down in my event book!!!! That would be too easy!!! :o)

Anywho, I searched the web to retrieve the info I had back then, but to no
avail.

If any one of you gurus can direct me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

mE

First off, I'm so sorry to read that "Koldbear" died. Good grief. It stunned
me. His posts and insights were a treasure trove of knowledge, wit, and
humor. I shall miss not "seeing" him here; but shall include him, and that
of his family, in my prayers.

Also, I read your fine tribute to your friend, Doug. Thoughtfully done.

After reading about "Koldbear", how miniscule my post has become. But, I do
want to thank both Doug and Kelly for "linking" me in the right directions.
I have bookmarked the sites for future reference.

Sorrowfully,

Ernie

Hi Ernie,

The tribute to Robert isn't mine, its by a fellow MVP Noel Paton. But =
the sentiments that Noel expressed there are felt by many. Koldbear =
will be sorely missed. And your question isn't trivial, not in the =
least. And questions are why Robert, and many others (MVP or not) spend =
a part of their day here posting answers. :-)
