Every time I try to access microsoft Word I am asked for
a 25 character cd key. I duly enter this key into the
boxes shown on the screen but am continually told that
the key is invalid.
Any suggestions as to what I can try next?

Greetings --
Double check that you are typing the product key exactly right.

Are you using the correct Product Key?
Windows Office and others have their own Product Key and they are not
interchangeable.
Look very closely.
O-0, B-8, S-5 and others look alike.
Have someone else try, sometimes another set of fingers and eyes can
get it.
