Hi,

I have a program that requires NT 4 with SP6 installed but I have XP.
The program doesn't want to install in XP. It says that I need to have NT4
w/ sp6.

Is there any way I can make it to install in XP?

Yes, you want to right click the shortcut for launching the application and
choose Properties. From here, go to the Compatibility tab and choose the OS
you want it to immitate being on.

Hi,

It doesn't have that option for the .MSI file.
I try it on the SETUP.EXE file but it still wants NT4.

Then your application is doing an expolict check for the verions of Windows
instead of the more common "version required or higher".
You should conatct the vendor fo a statem on htere support for later
opertaing sytesm.
Alternative pucrhase and use a copy of Virtual PC 2004 to run an instance of
Windwos Nt 4.0 on your Windwos XP Professional machine - hten you
application "should" work flawlessly as it is running on a real Windows NT
4.0 operating system.

(Please not you are also required to be properly licensed for the copy of
Windows NT 4.0 you run in the Virtual PC)
