I recently had to reinstall XP Home. I then reinstalled Office XP Small
Business, and have been having a problem.
Every time I open a component of Office, such as Word or Excel, I get a
message box titled "Installing components for Microsoft Excel (or Word)".
The box then shows a progress bar and the message "installing a Microsoft
Excel Feature". This happens EVERY time I open one of the Office
components. Does anyone have an explanation for this?

How did you run the install? If you select Custom, you find that many items
are marked as "run on first use." I suspect that these are the settings
"Typical" install uses. You may want to run Office setup again and select
"Run from hard disk."
