how can u get the control panel to recognize the windows update and installation cuz even though i tried many times doing different ways i was unsuccessful....please

The Control Panel has nothing to do with Windows Update. To use Windows
Update you simply click on the Windows Update item in the Programs menu or
off the Tools item in Internet Explorer.
