I need help,i recently upgraded to an amd xp 2500+ and an asus a7v600, from a microstar k7t266 pro 2 and an amd duron. It seems that for absolutely no reason i will get a blue screen and the message page fault in non paged area with the stop 0x000000050, a
nd sometimes ntfs.sys ,sometimes musmix.sys or win___.sys. My video card is nvidia geforce 64mb, and i have tried all drivers for it and i still get the same problem. Now i am using one 256 mb stick of 266 ddr ram and one 400 256 mb ddr ram (ran windows me
mtest and passed),could this be causing my problem.I have spent a great deal of time trying to figure this out so if anyone has any ideas i would be greatful.

When XP installs it inspects all of your hardware and installs the drivers
and sets parameters for that hardware. Some hardware is not expected to
change after initial install. XP allows things like printers, CD drives,
video cards, network cards, etc. to be dynamically changed. Some even allow
hot-swap. Items like motherboard components are NOT expected to change
after install. This is most likely your problem. The system components and
parameters for the a7w600 are different enough to confuse XP and cause the
critical stop.

Did you do a repair install or a fresh install of XP after the upgrade ?
