Greetings,

Here is the problem--I just upgraded(?)to XP Home from
98SE, now when I first start up the machine, or when it
comes out of hibernation, the display is really garbled
and fuzzy, almost like a television with a bad reception.
After the machine runs for a few minutes it settles down
and is fine. I updated my display drivers(ASUS V7700
video card/32MB). Machine is a 1.8 GHz P4, 512 Mb DDR.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Could be that your monitor is on its last legs, your video card is not fully
inserted, you updated to the wrong video card driver, or your video card
settings are incorrect. Try the latter first. That is the most likely of the
four because when you updated to a new driver the original settings probably
need to be altered.
