Pop up windows opening IE without any action by me
became intolerable. I installed Netscape instead
which block those.
Windows are still poping up with IE.
I wanted to uninstall it but it does not show
on add/remove programs, and not under Window components.
I would like to know how to remove IE from my computer.
Thanks,
Moshe

I'd rather remove the spy/adware on the computer ;-)
Download Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de and do a full system-scan.
For additional protection, download and run "Spybot Search & Destroy"
aswell.

You can't uninstall Internet Explorer. It is an integral part of the
operating system. What you can do is remove any spyware with Spybot
Search & Destroy from www.security.kolla.de and Ad-aware from
www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure to update these programs before running
them. It is best to run antivirus and spyware removal tools in Safe
Mode. These programs are free so run both of them as they complement
each other. Then, if you still want to use IE, get a popup blocker like
the Google Toolbar. Otherwise, look into installing a different browser
that has better built-in control for popups and cookies, like Mozilla.
The standalone browser is called FireFox.
