My dial-up connections dial and connect OK, but after they connect, they seem to not know that the connection is active. If I right click on the connection icon to disconnect, it only gives connect option, or if I show all connections, the active connecti
on isn't blue like it should be when connected. Plus, no connection shows up in the tray. I have to go to the Device Manager to disable the modem to disconnect. Same symptoms on all my dial-up connections. Just started this in the past couple of weeks,
before then, it was fine.

After connecting OK as stated, are you able to browse or send/receive email?
Is it just the disconnect that you can't accomplish?

Rather than going to device manager to disable to modem, why not just reboot
the computer? Just a thought.....
