att hard drives larger then 137 gigs. Where do I find this

The advice you're getting is based on the fact
that older versions of Windows did not have
"48-bit LBA" enabled, necessary for breaking
the 137GB limit. I don't think this is a problem
for an uptodate copy of XP, but if you want
to check, use the registry editor to view:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Atapi\Parameters

and see that EnableBigLba is 1, not 0.
On my copy of XP Home, it is set to 1
without my taking any action.

If it is 1, and if you still cannot "see" the entire
160GB, it's time to suspect that your
BIOS is too old. Boot into the BIOS
at startup, and see whether or not
it can "see" your entire 160GB.
