This problem is with my home computer, while in internet
explorer I continuously get (every 30 seconds or so) the
following message: "Windows Explorer has encountered a
problem and needs to close".

Note that Windows Explorer is not running when I get this
message.

Greetings Dave,

Actually, Windows Explorer is the entire Windows "interface" -- meaning, the Start menu, the
taskbar, the clock in the corner, etc.

In that dialog that appears, click the "click here" link and then copy/paste the information
(select it and then choose Ctrl-C) here as that's the only real way we can determine what's
going on.

This sounds like the same problem I am having. Here is
what follows the error:

After "click here" it displays Error Signature appname
MSMGS.exe Appver 4.7.0.209 modname ntdll.dll modver
5.1.2600.1217 offset 00007d85. If I click send report
and then view technical details, the top of that screen
says Exception info code 0xc000000000 Address
0x00000000077f57d85 Windows NT5.1 Build 2600 cpuversion
00000F29 cpu feature code BFEBF9FF

A lot more information follows

Why does it say windows nt? I bought this with xp
professional already installed.

Thanks for your help.

or uninstall it, but this could be
