Greetings --

To do an Upgrade you will have to purchase Windows XP Professional. Windows
XP Home is considered a "downgrade". The only thing you should do is make
sure you have all your important data backed up. Then pop in the Windows XP
CD and select Upgrade Install.

I'd do a little research. From what I understand, you won't be gaining very
much by going from Win2000 to WinXP. Here's a start, and there's plenty of
info available.

Yes, you can upgrade to Window XP Pro from 2000 Pro (NOT the Home
Edition).
I suggest you run the Upgrade Advisor program (free download from MS
website or use 'Check Compatibility' from the XP CD) first in case
some old software or hardware will work on XP.
Also, do a backup of ALL data to tape, disk or CD first in case
anything goes wrong.
