Is it possible to password protect files copied to disk in xp home?

XP Pro offers that, you can get third party software to do
that in Home.

Thanks for answering my post so quickly. Saved me a lot of needless
searching. A good new name for this OS would be XP home featureless.

Or, in your case, XP Home "I'm a stupid **** for not doing any homework and
checking if the features I required were supported".

A bit messy, but you can do it using the inbuilt XP Zip facility
- Select files you want password protected
- Right click then Send To Compressed (Zipped) folder
- Open the .Zip folder just created
- Go File / Add Password
- Delete the original files

As far as I know these OEMs aren't even upgradeable. dad2ten

OEM installs are upgradeable.
