pdf and ppt files from the computer open in word format,
a box did open when the computer first seen the file and
asked who do you want to open, I must have must have
pushed the other butten, then it asked who do you want it
to open I selected word, now it opens all pdf and ppt in
word, how can I get it to open them in the right format.

ps it was a new computer.

Hi Norm,

Control Panel/Folder Options/file types tab. Scroll down to each of those
file types, select them and remove them.

The next time you try to open one, you should be prompted to pick a program
to open them with. Make sure you choose the right one. PPT files open with
PowerPoint, PDF files open with Adobe Acrobat.
