if for some reason u had to uninstall xp home sp1 and
then reinstalled it would u lose the blaster worm patch ?
and if so can u still get the patch and where can u find
it ?

Yes you most likely did lose it. You can find all updates at Windows

if after you reinstalled xp and logged onto the web for
the first time will u get infected?or would the xp fire
wall protect you from getting it until u downloaded the
patch?

critical updates.

Before you even think of reinstalling and connecting to the Internet,
download the patch
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.blaster.worm.removal.tool.html
onto a floppy, do your reinstall thing and load the MSBlaster from the
floppy. Then work away at connecting to the Internet.
