RPC server cannot be found

Hello any smart people:

I am trying to load new printer software and am getting a
RPC server cannot be found. The printer is HP and
Brother. It is the same for both so we believe it is XP

Any tips of help???

Please post the exact message you get and when in the process it happens.
If the RPC server really "can not be found", hardly anything on your
computer will work, so I suspect some other cause.

I have dealt with RPC problems before. In my case I had to edit the registry due to missing dll values. You can probablly find out the steps to correct this problem you are having at technet.com, microsofts help site. In my case i had to add 3 values and my application then worked fine.
