Hi,
Can someone help me to resolve my outlook express
problem. I don't know what should I do to make the
attachment in the e-mail can be downloadable. Because
currently all e-mail that I receive with an attachment is
having problem to downloading it. The message error
is "OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments
in your file". FYI, as for my protection my computer
already installed with Norton Antivirus & updated with
latest windows update files. And this problem only happen
with my Windows XP computer but it's ok as for my
computer with WIndows 98 platform.
Thanks for any reply.

Mai;
Outlook Express:
Open Outlook Express.
Click Tools, click Options, click Security tab.
Uncheck "Do not allow attachments..."
This change that Microsoft implemented is to help prevent viruses and
other bad code being received with attachments.
It is ALWAYS a bad to open an unexpected attachment.
Verify the sender sent the attachment before opening.
Microsoft NEVER sends Email with attachments.

It is very important to keep your antivirus updated and run it at
least weekly.

Greetings --
Outlook Express' default security settings are simply trying to
protect you. OE has no way of telling whether an attachment actually
contains a virus or not, so it temporarily blocks any of those file
types that could potentially contain a virus. In Outlook Express,
Tools > Options > Security, uncheck the "Do not allow attachments to
be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" option, assuming
you trust the source, of course. The wiser course of action, however,
would be to modify your list of unsafe files, as outlined in the KB
articles below:
