How can I disable MS WinXP power options/managements so that I can
enable my laptop's power management feature ?
As things stand, whenever I try to open my laptop's power management I
get the message telling me that I must close WinXP power options. I
get the same message whenever I try to open the WinXP "Power Options"
in control Panel.
This is my setup:
1. Toshiba Satellite Pro M10
2. XP Pro preinstalled. It came with the machine, I suppose it was a
clean install
3. The message I get reads "To adjust power management settings, close
Microsoft Windows XP Power options and use Toshiba Power saver."
Message title: "TOSHIBA Power Saver"
When I press the "OK" button, the Toshiba Power Saver windows pops up,
but it is non-functional, grayed-out.
Thanks for taking the time to help!
