Hello,

I have a new computer running Windows XP with Wordpad.
Before, I had Windows 98 and Word 2000. Can I accept/open
documents in WordPad from users of Word 2000 or older? Or,
is it better to return to using Word 2000. I have it on CD
from my previous computer?

Thank you for your interest.

As you have found out, Wordpad is very basic as it was in previous versions
of Windows.. reload Word 2000..

History is only the past if we choose to do nothing about it..

Wordpad is still basically the same it ever was: a slightly crippled
version of Word 6. If you do have a original CD with a full version of
Word 2000 (Word 9), install that by all means. (If only for the
spellchecker ;)
