How do I get my pc to start in safe mode?

Hello
You will have to reboot your puter then during the POST and before the
Windows screen appears start tapping the F8 key.

You need to hit F8 during boot, just after the BIOS info switches to black
screen. Or...

Go to Start/Run/Msconfig. Boot.Ini and check off /SafeBoot. Apply/Ok,
reboot.
