win2k3 is not a domain controller or AD box, just running the OS as normal,
I created a user name and password....put the username in to admin groups
and user groups...

when i created the Drive Share in Properties, I did the default ($) with the
permissions

when i attempted to RUN: \\ServerNameHere\NameOfDrive (s) from XP...I get
the login screen and Passw...but the user Acct and Pw will not work?...and I
tried as Admin Acct also..NO Good

What Gives?

Remoting into the box is not a problem

can it be done like 2 xp boxes, or am i not doing something here

THX

Try using MACHINENAME\AccountName in the login box instead of just the
account name. This may help resolve it.
